Ride the Bull Kayak Tournament
Ride the Bull Kayak Tournament the World’s Largest Extreme Kayak Fishing Tournament, will take place at Bridge Side Marina in Grand Isle on August 24 and 25.
Ride the Bull is a unique, catch and release fishing tournament where kayakers only fish for Bull Reds in Caminada Pass. Once a fish is caught, there are support vessels available to help transport the catch to Bridge Side Marina, where it is weighed and then released.
This tournament was started by Danny Wray and his wife, Captain Kristen Wray and is now hosted by the CCA Louisiana. RTB is a live catch and release bull red tournament confined to Caminada Pass in Grand Isle. Whether your are one of the hundreds of participants or one of the hundreds of spectators, this is an event you need to see!
RTB is a for anglers of all ages and experience levels and can be a great event for the entire family. Besides the fishing that day we have many vendors displaying their goods and usually live music on Friday night after the Captains Meeting.
